Mid-State Industrial Maintenance is seeking a skilled Electrical Journeyman to join our team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
- Identify and acquire all necessary tools and equipment for tasks.
- Assess safety risks and implement precautions to eliminate hazards.
- Install, modify, and fabricate cable tray as necessary according to specifications.
- Pull cable through specified pathways and terminate wires and cable to electrical equipment.
- Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings.
- Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and ensure proper operation.
- Setup and maintain temporary power systems and install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
- Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
- 4+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician Helper or above.
- Must possess all knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements, including working at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have reliable transportation and all required tools.
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematics proficiently and demonstrate former knowledge and experience working on high voltage systems.
- Must be able to install and modify cable tray using hand tools and power tools.
- Must be proficient in cable pulling methods and able to use specialized electrical tools, such as ohm meters and multi-meters.
- Must be able to terminate both high and low-voltage equipment and cable/wiring.
- Must be able to troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
- Must be able to identify different types, gauges, and colors of cables and wires.
- Must be able to follow instructions correctly and be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative processes.
- Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations.

Mid-State Industrial Maintenance is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and quality. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be working on various sites, often outdoors and at significant heights. You will be exposed to varying weather conditions and potential hazards, including hot and humid temperatures, rain, and industrial environments with hazardous chemicals and moving equipment.
Physical Requirements:- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- The ability to coordinate two or more limbs while sitting or standing.
- Frequent walking through job sites.
- Frequent use of hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Able to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- Able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Able to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
- Frequent climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, and handling materials.
- Able to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pounds (frequently) and 50 pounds (routinely).
