About the Role

At Maternal Fetal Consultants of Kansas, we are seeking a highly skilled Fetal Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated group of professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will apply fetal ultrasound principles to evaluate fetal anomalies and provide high-quality images for obstetricians to make informed decisions.
  • You will adapt to various ultrasound machines while maintaining the highest standards of sonography.
  • You will identify fetal anomalies, including CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdominal wall, genitourinary, extremity, placental, umbilical cord growth disturbances, and more.
  • You will perform ultrasounds on maternal uteri, cervixes, and ovaries.
  • You will conduct complicated twin and triplet scans in conjunction with our in-office multiple gestation service.
  • You will identify gynecological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium, and polyps.
  • You will make preliminary diagnoses of gynecological and fetal disorders in the organ systems mentioned above.
  • You will operate General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency.
  • You will continue to expand your knowledge of the latest technology.
  • You will maintain accurate ultrasound logging records, including past medical history, surgical history, obstetric history, and genetic history.
  • You will prepare patients for procedures, including Level I & II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, lung maturity amniocentesis, PUBS, amino reduction, external cephalic version, and GYN ultrasound.
  • You will maintain professional relationships with other staff members, obstetric offices, and hospital personnel.
  • You will exercise independent judgment when interpreting Biophysical Profiles designed to assess fetal well-being.
  • You will alert physicians to potentially dangerous conditions, diagnose fetal weight disturbances based on fetal biometry, and report multiple fetal anomalies to physicians.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your Qualifications

  • An Associate's degree in Ultrasound is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • You must have RDMS certification and preferably RDMS – OB/GYN certification.
