Overview:

A Cashier plays a crucial role in the Star Nursery team, often being the first point of contact for customers entering our stores. Our Cashiers are responsible for ensuring that the final step of the shopping experience is smooth and enjoyable. They accurately process sales transactions while maintaining a positive demeanor and professionalism throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process customer transactions efficiently.
  2. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front end.
  3. Handle incoming phone calls professionally.
  4. Assist in stocking merchandise as needed.
  5. Ensure merchandise is neat and dust-free.
  6. Verify pricing consistency.
  7. Perform floor cleaning as required.
  8. Create and order signage when necessary.
  9. Dispose of trash appropriately.
  10. Restock shelves and end caps regularly.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves frequent bending, twisting, and movement of limbs. Cashiers are expected to stand for the majority of their shift, with occasional climbing and lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds. The role requires constant hand and eye coordination, as well as dexterity in handling merchandise.
