Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with heavy construction equipment in a field environment. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel technology and heavy equipment mechanics, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical, and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment
  • Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes
  • Write and complete service reports
  • Participate in company training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar
  • 5+ years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance or repair
  • Valid CDL driver's license
  • Basic welding skills
  • Crane knowledge a plus
