Teaching Economist

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Economics instructor to join our faculty team at ECPI University's Newport News, VA campus location. As a faculty member, you'll have the opportunity to teach Economics courses to our students, using innovative teaching methodologies to enhance their learning experiences.

Job Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for teaching Economics courses to our students, using a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate them.
• You will also contribute to the development of our curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and effective in preparing students for their careers.
• In addition, you will participate in departmental meetings and activities, collaborating with your colleagues to advance our mission and goals.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Economics or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution is required.
• Applied or practical work experience is preferred, with two years of teaching or presentation experience considered a plus.
• A strong academic and professional record is essential.
• Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment is highly valued.
