We are seeking a Human Resources Director to oversee employee and labor relations, recruiting, performance management, compliance with employment laws, benefits administration, communications, and other various Human Resource functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer, direct, and review employee benefit programs; manage the design and development of tools to assist employees in benefits selection; prepare and distribute written information required for benefits administration.
  • Fulfill all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations.
  • Manage FMLA, maintain employee medical files and filing system in partnership with other Managers.
  • Research DOT driver and driver's file compliance.
  • Maintain the employee HRIS system software; comply and distribute reports as needed.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, terminations, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination. Track and record this data to later analyze.
  • Ensure annual updates to the employee handbooks occur, and are distributed and tracked.
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; oversee the 30-60 day and annual performance review process.
  • Handle employee relations; schedule management conferences with employees; hear and resolve employee grievances; counsel employees and supervisors.
  • Prepare timely documentation related to employee conversations, discipline, reviews, or other items necessary to be put into writing on behalf of Managers.
  • Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; and coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Oversee On the Job Training (OJT) compliance.
  • Develop methods to improve employment policies, processes, and practices, and recommend management changes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years previous experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field are required
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP Strongly preferred
  • 1 to 3 years in a personnel supervisory role is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Verbal and written communication skills along with presentation skills
