LCS Operations Trainer and Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled LCS Operations Trainer and Subject Matter Expert to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for developing, organizing, and conducting combat systems and operations training programs for personnel assigned to Littoral Combat Ships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs for LCS sailors on tactical employment of the Combat Management System (CMS), associated weapons systems, and system capabilities and limitations.
- Conduct conventional knowledge-based classroom teaching and performance/scenario-based laboratory training.
- Provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for LCS courses.
- Support the Train to Qualify (T2Q) and TYCOM Training and Certification (TTC) processes.
- Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides.
- Support Formal Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates.
- Conduct training gap analysis and provide formal feedback/recommendations for Course improvement.
- Develop, test, maintain, and deliver moderately complex Navy Combat Systems training programs and related materials.
- Establish and review course content and objectives.
- Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
- Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Primary instruction in LCS-2 Tactical Communicator (TAC) Capstone and LCS-2 Unit Tactical Training (UTT)/Crew Certification Training.
- Additional trainer support required to act as Warfare Commander in scenario/lab-based training environments.
- Education: Associates/Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
- Qualifications: Seven (7) years of experience in all facets of tactical warfare areas, including the employment and management of Hard-Kill/Soft-Kill Weapon systems, internal/external communications, and integration with Navy Surface, Air, and Subsurface Warfare mission requirements.
- One (1) year of experience as an Instructor in a formal Navy individual training environment, including presentation skills, public speaking skills, curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials, and counseling students on academic learning problems.
- Experience as an Instructor/Trainer and/or a Master/Afloat Training Specialist in support of SCSTC/TACTRAGRU/ATG is a significant plus.
- Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing.
- Travel may be required up to 10% of time.
