We are seeking skilled pool Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for our Center City Campus, which encompasses various facilities. Our CRNAs typically engage in 8 to 10-hour shifts during weekdays, with occasional weekend opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and preparations.
- Administer general anesthesia in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists.
- Oversee the induction and maintenance of anesthesia at required levels.
- Monitor and adjust patients' physiological conditions based on anesthesia type and individual needs.
- Ensure continuity of care by transferring patient responsibility to qualified providers post-operatively.
- Provide resuscitative care until patients regain vital function control.
- Administer various anesthesia techniques including spinal, epidural, and nerve blocks.
- Support departmental protocols to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care.
- Engage in additional responsibilities aligned with individual expertise.
- Foster positive interactions with colleagues, visitors, and staff, reflecting the core values of our institution.
Additional Duties:
- Arrive punctually and prepare for cases ahead of time.
- Accurately document patient data in the medical record system.
- Communicate effectively with the attending anesthesiologist regarding patient care.
- Update the care team on patient progress.
- Perform clinical procedures as per delineated privileges.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals focused on safety and quality.
- Participate in departmental meetings and initiatives.
- Maintain and ensure the functionality of invasive monitoring equipment.
- Adapt to departmental needs, including call requirements and rotation flexibility.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and management support.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License (RN).
- Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Certificate (CRNA).
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program or prior CRNA experience.
- Familiarity with anesthesia-related equipment.
