Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide software and cloud-based system technical support and training for O'Dowd staff, students, and parents.
  • Instructional Materials Development: Produce and update instructional materials, including manuals, graphics, videos, GIFs, articles, and websites, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Course Development and Maintenance: Evaluate, digitize, and streamline current and future course/program development through Schoology, PowerSchool, Google Admin, and other relevant platforms.
  • Technology Onboarding: Oversee and coordinate technology onboarding process for new, international, transfer students, and staff, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Course Creation and Maintenance: Manage the technical side of new and existing course creation, maintenance, imports, exports, feature requests, error reporting, and parent account setup.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Assist the Director of Technology in gathering feedback, designing more efficient workflows, and implementing changes with stakeholders.
  • Workshops and Training: Conduct workshops and individual training sessions on effective Smart Board technology, including setup, operation, and integration into a classroom setting.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Experience: Technology support experience, project management experience, and experience in K-12 education environment.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of various technologies used in instructional technology, proficient with Smart Board technology, customer service and solutions-oriented attitude, and ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
Competencies
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of HTML, SQL, and relational databases, experience designing, developing, and implementing programs of instruction, including in-person, hybrid, and online-based training.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, high level of attention to detail, and ability to work independently on projects and participate successfully in a team.
