Certified Surgical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth Carrollwood. As a Certified Surgical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.
Key Responsibilities- Prepares and maintains the surgical area, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Scrubs and assists the physician during procedures, providing expert support and care.
- Assists the RN in technical functions related to patient care in the OR, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Participates in the training of others and functions as a resource within the department, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Completion of Certified Surgical Assisting Program or have completed the requirements set by and have been certified by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assistant (NBSTA) or American Board of Surgical Assistant (ABSA) or National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistant (NCCSA).
- Certification as a First Assistant through one of the following: National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assistant (NBSTA) or American Board of Surgical Assistant (ABSA) or National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistant (NCCSA).
- American Heart BLS certification.
