The CT Technologist PRN is responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) scanners. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:- Position patients on the CT table and assist with contrast injection as needed.
- Assess image quality and make adjustments to ensure optimal results.
- Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions.
- Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current license as an MRT (Magnetic Resonance Technologist) by the State of Texas.
- A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in CT.
- A current Healthcare Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
