Staff Accountant II Job Description

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant II to join our team in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, as well as providing support to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Setup and maintain automatic entries and book manual entries in accordance with US GAAP
  • Perform all actions necessary to close monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position
  • Support Accounts Payables and ensure accurate and timely entry into the accounting system and payment
  • Ensure inventory is properly captured and allocated
  • Support most aspects of accounting management, including billing, tax forms, reporting, and more
  • Assist in the formulation of internal controls
  • Manage journal entries, vendor invoices, and reconcile balance sheet accounts for monthly or annual closing
  • Assist in income statement account variance explanation compared to prior month and forecast
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual audit
  • Assist in monthly cash projection and Capex reconciliation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive, relevant experience
  • Intermediate MS Excel background
  • Experience working with various systems, including but not limited to SAP, Concur, and/or Blackline
  • In-depth knowledge of Accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP
  • Manufacturing and inventory experience a plus
  • General ledger and related reconciliation experience
