Job Title: Full Stack Big Data Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Big Data Software Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure software systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software systems using a variety of programming languages, including Java, Python, and Bash.
  • Work with our team to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with our clients to understand their needs and develop software systems that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain software systems using Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
  • Work with our team to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Linux CLI and Bash or Python scripting.
  • Experience developing Java applications in a Linux environment.
  • Experience demonstrating Big Data processing.
  • Experience with Web development, HTTP, and REST services.
  • Experience managing and testing new models for data processing and data flow patterns.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker.
  • Knowledge of distributed compute technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies, including Elasticsearch and Accumulo.
  • Experience with signal processing.
  • Experience with data flow management and orchestration tools such as NiFi or Airflow.
  • Experience with machine learning packages and pipelines.
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, concepts, best practices, and tools, including Jenkins and GitLab CI.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work Model:

If this position is listed as onsite, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person, as needed for the specific role.
