The Sleep Center Technician, working under the direction of the Medical Director and the Sleep Center Coordinator, initiates and completes Polysomnographic studies, applies electrodes and physiologic sensors, calibrates and adjusts polysomnographic instrumentation, and administers oxygen and titrates continuous positive airway pressures.
Responsibilities- Initiates and completes Polysomnographic studies
- Applies electrodes and physiologic sensors
- Calibrates and adjusts polysomnographic instrumentation
- Administers oxygen and titrates continuous positive airway pressures
- Monitors patients throughout PSG sleep study
- Recognizes sleep, cardiac, and respiratory abnormalities
- Determines and implements additional procedures as necessary
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two years' experience as a Level I Sleep Lab Technician at an accredited sleeping center
