Welding Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Welding Foreman will be responsible for assisting the General Foreman in the management of the welding and fabrication department. This role requires a strong understanding of welding procedures and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

•
Support all company safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
•
Read, review, and interpret blueprint drawings and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
•
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and SAW welding processes.
•
Troubleshoot weld machines and ensure they are functioning properly.
•
Follow D1.1 and D1.5 code work and understand the use of weld gauges.
•
Guide, coach, and develop members of the welding team.

Qualifications:

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty above average and always represent the company in a professional manner. Required skills include excellent written and oral communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure fast-paced environment. Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment is preferred.

Reporting:

The Welding Foreman will report to the Shop Superintendent.
