- Perform cleaning duties on nights without scheduled vendor activities
- Conduct weekly sanitation of Produce, Market, and Deli sections
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the store's mop room
- Seek out more efficient methods to execute tasks while aiming to lower costs and enhance labor efficiency
- Adhere to the daily QA checklist and sanitation protocols established by the company
- Comply with current Standard Practices for the disposal of Hazardous Waste materials
- Maintain a thorough understanding of and compliance with company policies, guidelines, and standard procedures
- Understand and implement Food Safety and Workplace Safety regulations and practices
- Identify and rectify any unsafe conditions that may pose risks to associates or customers
- Report all incidents involving associates and customers following established procedures to the Manager on Duty
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations
- Wear the company uniform, complete with name badge, while on duty, maintaining a neat and professional appearance in accordance with the dress code
- Successfully complete required training modules and courses
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service abilities
- Willingness and ability to learn various tasks and technical aspects of the role
- Capacity to utilize technical information for problem-solving
- Must meet minimum age criteria for specific job functions
- Must be capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Proficiency in using computers and other communication systems necessary for job functions
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Capability to bend and lift items weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to pull or push weights up to 75 lbs. occasionally
- Stand for extended periods, with frequent short-distance walking
- Ability to handle various substances related to cleaning and packaging materials, fresh produce, houseplants, and household cleaners
- Use hands frequently to handle currency and operate various equipment such as cash registers and computers
- Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level; occasionally above shoulder or below waist level
- Meet established productivity standards for the position
- Tolerate working in extreme temperatures for brief periods
- Possess sufficient visual acuity to verify identification and review written documents
