The shared services accounting division at HORIBA is currently seeking a proficient Cost Management Accountant to enhance our operations. This position demands a strong understanding of cost accounting methodologies, principles, and practices to determine unit costs, set standards, and uncover cost-saving opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial analysis, process enhancement, and overall accounting support.
Key Responsibilities:
Streamline accounting functions while demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow Navigate through uncertainty with the ability to work independently Improve financial outcomes through thorough analysis of results, budgets, forecasts, and trends Identify potential improvements and efficiencies, providing recommendations to senior leadership Establish standard unit costs for manufactured products and operational processes Evaluate product and project costs, focusing on material variances and labor efficiencies Conduct physical inventory reconciliations and assist with month-end financial closings Propel enhancements in financial systems, controls, and processes Generate detailed periodic and ad-hoc financial reports Perform market research and comparative analysis to derive financial insights Aid in financial reviews and audits conducted by external auditorsRequired Competencies:

Over 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, general accounting, or business finance, with exposure to international operations and manufacturing Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics Strong proficiency in general and cost accounting principles, complemented by robust analytical skills Experience with SAP FI/CO is advantageous Self-driven with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilitiesCompensation Overview:
