This role is distinct from an entry-level accountant as it involves analyzing financial data, generating comprehensive financial reports for significant county resources, and supervising support personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed reports on accounts payable, revenues, and financial analyses for management review.
2. Reconcile bank statements and develop specialized analytical reports for decision-makers.
3. Assist in budget preparation and formulate recommendations based on financial data.
4. Provide leadership in billing, revenue collection, and customer service processes, offering guidance and training to staff.
5. Execute accounting functions for various accounts, including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
6. Process accounts payable documentation, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization of invoices.
