Key Responsibilities
The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and maintaining a safe care environment.
- Conducting thorough assessments of patients’ healthcare needs and developing appropriate care plans.
- Monitoring and responding to changes in patients’ conditions.
- Documenting all relevant patient information accurately in electronic medical records.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, while observing for any adverse reactions.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and self-management.
- Maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- A current Registered Nurse license.
- A minimum of two years of active nursing experience.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience in an Operating Room or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is preferred.
