Role Summary
The EHS Technician will report directly to the EHS Manager and will be instrumental in advancing ANI's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the health of ANI employees, ensuring adherence to occupational health and safety protocols, and maintaining compliance with environmental legislation across our operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Support compliance activities related to the EHS program and develop necessary procedural documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive records associated with environmental, safety, and industrial hygiene initiatives.
- Assist in the activities of the ANI Safety Committee.
- Coordinate and deliver site-specific EHS training sessions, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- Conduct industrial hygiene assessments and sampling.
- Oversee contractor adherence to applicable EHS policies and standards.
- Manage the digital Safety Data Sheet (SDS) library.
- Assist in the management of waste storage, handling, compliance, and disposal processes.
- Support daily operations to ensure compliance with various EHS regulations and permits.
- Engage in EHS audits, monitor findings, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Participate in process enhancement initiatives aimed at identifying and rectifying non-compliance or non-conformance.
- Contribute to corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in an EHS role.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Background in facility security.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Familiarity with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) compliance.
- Possession of ASP or CSP certification.
Work Environment
This position involves a mix of office work (50%) and frequent activities in manufacturing, processing, packaging, product development, maintenance, and laboratory settings. Typically, the role follows a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on project demands.
