Job Title: Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

Join the Southern Illinois University Carbondale team as a Recruitment and Retention Coordinator, playing a vital role in shaping the future of our students. As a key member of the College of Health and Human Sciences, you will be responsible for leading student affairs and services activities, developing and implementing recruitment initiatives, and overseeing enrollment management data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead student affairs and services activities to meet university and college goals.
  • Develop and implement recruitment initiatives for students, including under-represented populations.
  • Oversee enrollment management data, including prospects, admissions, course enrollments, and retention reports.
  • Coordinate the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of student workers, graduate assistants, and other student employees.
  • Monitor enrollment and retention trends, providing analytical analysis reports to the Dean and Administrative Staff.
  • Develop and maintain the College's communications and marketing materials, including newsletters, annual reports, and social media.
  • Collaborate with schools within the college to develop and implement strategies to increase student success, retention, and community development.
  • Work with the College to develop and seek recruitment and retention grants.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in education, business, management, technical field, or related degree.
  • Three years of experience in university or community college settings in student affairs related areas, including recruitment, retention, academic advisement, enrollment management, program development, and/or student placement.
