Position Overview:

The Scheduler plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of clinician schedules and patient requirements. This position is responsible for the effective coordination of client appointments, maintaining accurate scheduling records, and ensuring timely communication of any scheduling modifications between administrative offices and healthcare staff. The Scheduler will report directly to the Director of Clinical Support.

Key Qualifications:
- Strong communication and computer proficiency are essential.
- Previous experience in healthcare is preferred.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes is required.
- Must possess a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage the scheduling of field staff, promptly addressing any scheduling conflicts with the Supervisor.
  • Utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to assign appropriately skilled personnel for each patient visit.
  • Engage with clients and staff to discuss scheduling needs and facilitate effective communication.
  • Interact with clients and their families in a professional and courteous manner as required.
  • Document and report any changes in client status, service requirements, or assigned personnel to the Director of Hospice and Palliative Care or supervising nurse.
  • Exhibit strong organizational abilities.
  • Utilize resources and supplies efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all employee and client information, as well as business practices.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any hazards immediately.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with infection control procedures.
  • Follow management directives and collaborate effectively with other team members.
  • Complete required documentation, including time sheets, in accordance with agency policies and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
