Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Optometrist to join our team at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. As a Staff Optometrist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive ocular examinations, diagnosing eye and vision problems, and prescribing treatment plans. You will also have the opportunity to participate in clinical research and supervise optometric residents and externs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform comprehensive ocular examinations, including visual acuity, visual fields, and color perception
* Diagnose eye and vision problems, including conditions caused by systemic diseases
* Prescribe glasses and make recommendations on low-vision rehabilitation
* Analyze ophthalmic and laboratory test results and develop treatment plans
* Administer drugs to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of vision problems
* Prescribe drugs to treat eye diseases
* Perform post-operative exams and facilitate post-op care

Requirements:

* Doctor of Optometry degree
* Current/valid FL Optometry license
* One year of relevant work experience in a medical setting
