We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant ll, ObGyn to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide clinical and clerical support to our providers and patients, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to providers and patients, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering injections.
- Assist with clerical tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and communicating with patients and families.
- Help ensure smooth patient flow and workflow within the department, assisting the patient care team in implementing the medical plan of care.
- Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Perform all duties under the direction of a clinician.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- MA Certification by a California Medical Board recognized agency (required for incentive eligibility in 2025)
- 1 year of recent relevant experience
- General knowledge of various medical procedures, views, and equipment
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Competent and validated in basic Medical Assisting skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
