About the Role

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Support Specialist to join our team in Surgical Services. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and service patient rooms, remove waste, and perform special projects as assigned.
  • Inventory and restock supplies on the unit, and obtain supplies and rental units as needed.
  • Provide support to patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities, including providing assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Perform various tasks and duties to provide assistance and support in an expanded Support Tech role to the staff in Surgical Services.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions.
  • One or more years of experience as a Support Technician.
  • Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) (SPD exempt).
Preferred Qualifications
  • LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF GEORGIA
