Job Title: Dog Trainer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dog Trainer to promote and educate our members on the best possible relationship with their dogs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal behavior and a proven track record of delivering effective training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized training plans for pet owners and their dogs
  • Deliver obedience training, behavior modification, and management techniques
  • Collaborate with the team to provide expert training knowledge and support
  • Coordinate schedules with members, prospective members, and PUPS team members
  • Execute various training programs and provide material support to members
  • Conduct evaluations with prospective members to determine the best training regimen
  • Manage training schedules and assist team members in the training sales process
  • Represent PUPS Pet Club in a professional and positive manner
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of animal behavior, body language, and training techniques
  • Proven experience working as a dog trainer
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong dog handling skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • A love for dogs
  • Patient and enthusiastic
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk or run for long periods of time
  • Ability to repeat the same movements
  • Ability to bend or twist the body
  • Ability to safely lift dogs of up to 50 lbs
