Position: Facilities Custodian/Janitor

Location: Selma, AL

JOB OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of the Facilities Custodian is to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility.

Compensation: Starting at $10.50 per hour.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Carry out daily cleaning tasks as assigned.
2. Ensure all floors are swept, including aisles and areas beneath machinery.
3. Regularly empty all waste bins.
4. Perform lint removal as requested throughout the plant.
5. Assist in relocating items as directed by management.
6. Support loading and unloading of delivery trucks as needed.
7. Participate in cart washing duties.
8. Help with the cleaning of tools when requested.
9. Maintain restrooms to meet company cleanliness standards on a daily basis.
10. Thoroughly clean toilets, including the exterior surfaces, and address any staining or mold issues.
11. Ensure sinks and faucets are spotless, free from water stains and buildup.
12. Keep mirrors clean and free of spots.
13. Wipe down walls with a mild cleaning solution as necessary.
14. Scrub the tops of baseboards to minimize dust accumulation.
15. Ensure break areas are tidy, free of trash, and tables are cleaned.
16. Maintain a clean parking area, ensuring it is free of litter and debris.
17. Adhere to a structured cleaning schedule.
18. Perform any additional tasks as assigned.
