Job Description

This role supports patient care, managing appointment schedules, maintaining cleanliness, and communicating with clinicians. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will work under supervision to apply clinical knowledge and skills, assisting in meeting healthcare needs.

  • Greet patients, prepare them for exams, and obtain vital signs, weight, height, medications, medical history, and allergies.
  • Assist physicians during exams and treatments.
  • Maintain supplies, clean rooms, and equipment, and stock rooms with required supplies.
  • Operate and maintain autoclave machines according to policy and procedures.
  • Perform ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by supervising practitioners.
  • Assist in surgical tray setup, injury, or acute care as directed by treating physicians.
  • Maintain lab supplies, equipment, rapid testing, and record keeping according to CLIA.
  • Dispense medications and appliances, applying bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered.
  • Assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly appearance in the center.
  • Manage clinic and clinician schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Facilitate daily huddle review of visit schedules for patients requiring assistance.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
  • Attend team huddles, center staff meetings, and ongoing training.
  • Perform all duties to achieve or exceed established service standards.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • An Associate's degree and 3 years' experience or 5 years' medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
  • Washington State Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim certification.
  • Clinical competencies to perform Certified Medical Assistant duties.
  • Experience using Epic.
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Military Training Network.
  • Excellent phone communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer in a Windows environment using Outlook, Work, and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with associates and management at all levels.
  • Independent decision-making skills and ability to influence others.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team or independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $52,500.00 - $78,800.00, depending on location and experience.
