Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the receipt and storage of incoming shipments, ensuring accurate inventory management and timely processing.
  • Warehousing: Coordinate the storage and organization of goods, maintaining a clean and secure environment.
  • Order Filling and Picking: Efficiently select and pack orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Inventory Control and Records Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, tracking and reporting any discrepancies or issues.
  • Dispatch: Plan and coordinate transportation routes, schedules, and methods to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
  • Transportation Planning: Analyze and project transportation costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Customs Clearances and Permits: Coordinate with external providers to ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary permits.
  • Fleet Management: Maintain, load, pack, and drive company vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
  • Supplier Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external transport providers, fuel suppliers, and other key partners.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL A license
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with logistics software
