Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in West Allis, Wisconsin. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a range of radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
- Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Identify patients and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Assist and communicate with radiologists to ensure seamless collaboration and high-quality patient care.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
- Competent in radiology positioning and techniques.
- Knowledge of basic radiation safety and radiology equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
