Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist Specialist to join our dental practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care and education to our patients, focusing on preventative measures and personalized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide thorough dental cleanings and examinations, utilizing advanced techniques and equipment to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Apply preventive materials, such as sealants and fluorides, to protect teeth from decay and promote overall oral health.
- Anesthetize patients as needed for Periodontal Procedures, ensuring comfort and minimizing anxiety.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, emphasizing the importance of regular dental check-ups and maintaining good oral habits.
- Collaborate with the dentist to develop comprehensive treatment plans, addressing areas of concern and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays), using digital technology to enhance image quality and facilitate diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of services provided, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and manage infection control protocols, ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Stay updated on the latest dental hygiene technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- CURRENT STATE LICENSURE TO PRACTICE DENTAL HYGIENE.
- CPR certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, ensuring efficient workflow and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- A compassionate, patient-focused attitude, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
