Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a Safety-First Culture
    • Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure Daily Flight Operations
    • Oversee daily flight operations to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies.
    • Identify and resolve any issues arising from operations irregularities.
  • Lead Safety Meetings and Manage Incident Reporting
    • Organize and lead regular safety meetings to discuss incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns.
    • Manage the incident reporting system to track and analyze safety data.
  • Maintain Currency and Qualification
    • Ensure pilots maintain currency and qualification in at least two aircraft used in the certificate holder's operation.
    • Function as a crewmember when needed.
  • Develop Training Goals and Strategies
    • Develop training goals and strategies to enhance pilot performance and safety.
    • Assist in coordinating outside training and maintain pilot training records.
  • Function as a Line Check Pilot (LCP) or Company Instructor
    • Qualify, evaluate, and mentor pilots to ensure they meet company standards.
    • Assure all company instructors and check pilots enter applicable records into the pilot record database.
  • Notify the Chief Pilot/Director of Operations
    • Immediately notify the Chief Pilot/Director of Operations of any discrepancy or incident affecting the company's ability to perform within safety, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility parameters.
  • Establish and Facilitate New Customers and Missions
    • Establish and facilitate new customers and missions for flight operations.
Summary of Essential Duties:
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
    • Collaborate with various departments, including Safety, Maintenance, Airport Operations, SOC, and Administration.
  • Administer the Company's Safety Management Program
    • Monitor safety issues, investigate incidents, and make recommendations to improve safety in the workplace.
  • Delegated Authority
    • Exercise delegated authority by the Director of Operations to exercise limited Operational Control of the Company.
  • Conduct Line Supervisory Flying
    • Conduct line supervisory flying to ensure the professionalism of pilots and overall pilot standards.
  • Facilitate Pilot Ground School
    • Facilitate pilot ground school as qualified.
  • Encourage Employee Suggestions
    • Encourage employees to make suggestions for process improvements or report errors.
  • Ensure Pilot Appearance, Attendance, and Personal Conduct
    • Ensure pilot appearance, attendance, and personal conduct comply with Company policy.
  • Willingness to Become Qualified
    • Willingness to become qualified in the majority of the company flight missions.
Qualifications:
  • First Class FAA Medical
    • Possess a First Class FAA medical.
  • Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record
    • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Authorized to Work in the United States
    • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Commercial/Inst or Unrestricted ATP FAA
    • Commercial/Inst or Unrestricted ATP FAA.
  • Willingness to Work a Varying Schedule
    • Willing to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Proficiency
    • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • 5-Year Work History Review and Background Check
    • Able to pass a required 5-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • DOT Pre-Employment Drug Screening
    • Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screening and be willing to submit to additional random drug and/or alcohol testing.
