Job Summary:
Piedmont Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating health care needs of patients assigned.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and meet unit and hospital goals.
- Float to other comparable nursing units as requested or needed.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain competency and certification specific to departmental requirements.
- Assume the role of a Charge Nurse as needed or requested.
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina.
- Attends IV Therapy training and/or demonstrates competency in intravenous therapy within one year.
- Maintains competency and/or certification specific to departmental requirements.
- Must have current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- Advanced certification in specialty field and/or participation in professional organization(s) encouraged.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous hospital experience.
- Management and teaching ability.
