Telecommunications Tower Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:
Betacom seeks a highly skilled Telecommunications Tower Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for supervising and performing daily construction duties on telecommunications sites.
Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure crew safety and compliance with company and customer safety requirements. Inspect tools and rigging gear to ensure they are safe to use.
- Construction Supervision: Lead and direct a crew of 2-4 members in the completion of assigned projects.
- Project Management: Plan and control job budgets, manage data in Betacom tools (Site Manager), and participate in handling employee complaints and grievances according to company policy.
- Tower Maintenance: Perform inspection of entire installs, troubleshoot problems with installs, capture and provide closeout packages, and install, test, and repair antennas, TMA's, diplexers, duplexers, and surge arrestors.
- Communication and Teamwork: Participate in planning and controlling project techniques for assigned employees, maintain accurate records for managing or controlling projects, and work with the Superintendent or Construction Manager to determine materials, equipment, and tools to be used for assigned projects.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Four years or more of related tower and construction experience and/or training.
- Certifications: ComTrain, OSHA30, RF Awareness Training, First AID/CPR trained.
- Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook), knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment, experience with Anritsu Site Master, Andrew, PPC, tower mapping and antenna equipment, stacking self-support towers, installing waveguide, antennas, and microwave dishes, RF Awareness, replacement, and maintenance.
- Work Environment: This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel to various locations. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
