Role Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of our products at Saxon Global. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and developers to gain insights into customer interactions with our products, enabling you to devise tailored testing strategies for ongoing feature development and automation.
  • Test Planning: Create detailed test plans and execute them across web, mobile, and hardware platforms, ensuring timely delivery with the utmost quality.
  • Automation Frameworks: Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks that facilitate the automation of critical user scenarios for regression testing.
  • Quality Metrics: Gather and report quality metrics derived from test executions to inform stakeholders.
  • Technical Discussions: Engage in technical discussions with engineers to promptly identify and resolve issues.
  • Support: Assist engineering and development teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to applications and development/testing environments.

Qualifications for Success:

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Over 4 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation for mobile and web applications.
  • A solid understanding of various testing methodologies (including performance, unit, integration, and automated testing), along with the ability to leverage them effectively while addressing any identified issues.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in computer science, including object-oriented concepts, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in utilizing tools such as IDEs, debuggers, build tools, source control, and profilers to optimize daily tasks.
  • Fluency in Git, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Java, and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing comprehensive test and performance tools, as well as frameworks (e.g., Java, Junit, TestNG, Selenium, Appium, Protractor, and other open-source projects).
  • Proven ability to facilitate cross-team technical discussions and decision-making, grounded in a solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
