Respiratory Therapist

As a Respiratory Therapist with Steward Health Care, you will be responsible for initiating, administering, and monitoring modalities of respiratory therapy and patient care to all age groups. This role requires the ability to administer and monitor mechanical ventilation upon competency validation to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. You will document and chart all therapy according to protocol, perform all respiratory modalities for the comfort and well-being of the patient, and comply with objectives and policies of the hospital and the age/developmentally appropriate care is given in accordance with unit standards.
Responsibilities:
Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
Document and chart all therapy according to protocol
Perform all respiratory modalities for the comfort and well-being of the patient
Comply with objectives and policies of the hospital and the age/developmentally appropriate care is given in accordance with unit standards
Requirements:
One (1) year experience in a hospital setting preferred
One (1) year of Critical Care experience preferred
Basic Computer knowledge
Current State of Florida License as a Certified Respiratory Therapist, CRT or Respiratory Care Practitioner in Critical Care, or RCPCC required
Current BLS and ACLS certification required from American Heart Association
PALS certification required with thirty (30) days upon hire
NRP certification required within sixty (60) days upon hire
