About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ETL packages and database code to meet business requirements and user stories.
  • Assemble complex data sets using AWS and SQL technologies.
  • Improve data engineering processes to handle large, complex, and diverse data sources and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the data processing team on performance tuning, query optimization, index tuning, caching, buffer tuning, and data archiving strategies.
  • Estimate and plan development work, track progress, and deliver results on schedule.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables by setting development standards, adhering to standards, and participating in code reviews.
  • Mentor, support, and manage junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date on new and emerging technologies and products relevant to our clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • Advanced SQL coding skills, with 5+ years of experience in tuning and query optimization, especially in cloud-based data warehouses like Amazon Redshift.
  • At least two years of experience with Python.
  • Proficiency in various data processing tools like Databricks, Altyrex, AWS Glue, etc.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with advanced proficiency in English.
  • Self-motivated and able to multitask projects effectively.
  • Digital media experience, particularly in the ad tech industry with a data-centric role.
