Job Summary:
As a Class A Delivery Driver with Performance Foodservice, you will play a critical role in the food supply chain by transporting products to customers in a timely and safe manner. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on local and long-haul routes to deliver and/or unload food and related products to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition and meet company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of hours of service, fuel consumption, and other relevant data.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.


Requirements:
  • 12+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
