We are currently seeking a System Administrator to join our team, providing essential support within a Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing the functionality and efficiency of a network of Windows workstations and servers, along with executing hardware and software installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both virtual and physical workstation and server setups.
  • Conduct general IT tasks, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and security within both classified and unclassified network environments.
  • Administer Windows 10 workstations and Server 2019.
  • Facilitate the virtualization of both Windows and Linux systems.
  • Provide support for ACAS/Nessus vulnerability assessments and scanning.
  • Assist in the maintenance and administration of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Monitor system performance, including disk space, utilization, capacity, and availability.
  • Collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to implement and uphold cybersecurity standards, including NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Compliance and Assessment Standards.
  • Create and manage Active Directory user accounts and perform hardware/software installations.
  • Execute system backup and recovery processes.
  • Maintain Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for Department of Defense systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within RDT&E environments.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with three to ten years of relevant experience in infrastructure, operating systems, and system administration is required.
  • Alternatively, six (6) years of additional related work experience or an associate degree with four (4) years of additional related work experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Certification Requirements:

  • The selected candidate must possess DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE).

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory to commence employment.
  • The selected applicant may undergo a security investigation and must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
