Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center in Pensacola, FL. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).
  • Perform select clinical duties, including assisting with treatments ordered by the provider, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Assist with materials management functions, including ordering and stocking of supplies.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Medical Assistant certification obtained prior to hire date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
