We are currently seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to become part of our team. This role is crucial for our warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a variety of warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, order picking, packaging, and dispatching, to meet defined goals and performance metrics.
- Ensure precise documentation of all transactions and inventory movements to uphold inventory integrity.
- Employ various equipment (both motorized and manual), handheld scanners, printers, and shipping software to efficiently complete daily operations.
- Reorganize incoming pallet loads that have been damaged during transit or storage in compliance with safety standards.
- Prepare outgoing shipments in accordance with established Work Instructions, utilizing approved methods and materials to ensure the secure delivery of products.
- Adhere to documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee consistent and efficient process execution.
- Comply with all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to minimize the risk of workplace accidents.
- Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse environment through regular cleaning schedules to meet industry regulations and ensure a safe working atmosphere.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to fulfill business needs and contribute to team success.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and tools, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- A proactive attitude with a hands-on approach to tasks.
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or controlled substance warehousing is advantageous.
- Self-driven with the ability to maintain personal productivity.
- Proficient in using ERP or WMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong multitasking and time-management abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Work conditions may vary, including temperature and noise levels typical of a warehouse setting.
- Job responsibilities may require prolonged standing, sitting, and frequent walking in various areas such as warehouses and packaging zones.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Physical abilities required include seeing, hearing, talking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, twisting, crouching, crawling, reaching, grasping, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Weekend and overtime work may be necessary.
- Additional physical tasks may be assigned as needed.
