At Travel Nurse Across America, we are seeking a skilled Operating Room Travel Nurse to join our team in Saint Albans, VT. As an OR Travel Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting physicians and medical staff in the operating room.

About the Role

This is an immediate travel nurse opening for a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant with 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. The right candidate should be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic bedside care and assist patients with medication administration.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients' family members and the operating team, ensuring clear communication and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Ensure that procedures are performed on the correct patient, verify correct procedure(s), and take responsibility for accurate specimen handling and monitoring equipment used during surgery.
  • Inventory surgical items pre- and post-procedure, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Salary and Benefits
