Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients, working closely with physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate exposure factors and patient safety.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormalities.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent unnecessary exposure.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program.
Education
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
