NF QA Generalist

The State of Kansas is seeking a highly skilled NF QA Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our Aging Commission, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of care in nursing facilities across the state.

• Conduct data analysis and evaluation to support the Aging Commission's Quality Review efforts
• Review and monitor quality care assessment payments and payment plans
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with program managers, directors, and agency administrators
• Provide technical assistance and training to providers and stakeholders
• Assist with Kansas Open Records Act requests and respond to provider complaints
• Coordinate business requirements and troubleshooting of web applications with Information Technology and Help Desk staff

• Four years of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying, or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data
• Travel may be required
• Knowledge of research and statistical practices, including principles and methods
• Well-developed communication skills in both written and verbal form
• Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, handle stress, and produce work under extremely tight deadlines

• Three years of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying, or reporting on statistical economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data
• Special knowledge of the Medicaid program with special emphasis in qualitative and quantitative analysis
• General knowledge and/or experience in working with state or federal agencies, especially those dealing directly with programs for the aging and disabled
• Extensive experience with databases, data analysis, and reporting tools
