Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Van Driver to join our team at the Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Weslaco, TX. This is a full-time position requiring a high school diploma or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a van or small bus to transport patients and residents safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records.
  • Fuel and maintain vehicles as needed.
  • Document vehicle usage and mileage accurately.
  • Assist residents and passengers in and out of the vehicle.
  • Provide safety briefings to residents and passengers.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license issued by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • At least 25 years old and pass a motor vehicle screen.
  • Preferred: Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification.
  • Ability to deal effectively and patiently with others.
  • Ability to operate a van or small bus.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to lift weights of 40-60 lbs.
