As an Assistant Manager Full-Time Lead, you will play a key role in driving sales and profit growth, while maintaining the highest level of customer service and store appearance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating sales and profit, minimizing losses, and ensuring the store is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained.
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed business goals.
  • Overseeing and maintaining customer service standards to the highest possible level.
  • Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Representing the Tommy Hilfiger image through personal and professional appearance.
  • Taking responsibility for productivity and profitability of the store, including sales growth, staffing, and inventory results.
  • Managing time and prioritizing tasks.

Operations

  • Understanding and complying with all company policies, procedures, and operations.
  • Maintaining the highest level of security and safety awareness within the store.
  • Recognizing problems, analyzing causes, generating alternatives, and solutions.
  • Managing all controllable expenses, including payroll allocation.
  • Attending mall/center management meetings in the absence of the GM/SM or Associate Manager.
  • Following Inventory Shrinkage Improvement Program.
  • Maintaining productivity in shipment processing, inventory counting, price change activities.
  • Ensuring the store has all necessary tools and knowledge of how to use them adequately.
  • Managing store openings and closings.
  • Taking direction and completing assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Assisting in recruiting and hiring sales associates with strong presentation and communication skills representative of the Tommy Hilfiger image.
  • Developing all associates to be knowledgeable in areas of product, merchandising, operations, customer service, sales, and growth within the company.
  • Motivating and developing support staff to meet store goals/objectives.
  • Able to deal with difficult situations while maintaining performance.
  • Seeking support from others when necessary.
  • Effectively supervising the sales floor to ensure customer/associate awareness at all times.
  • Demonstrating teamwork within the store and company, ensuring staff is treated professionally, respectfully, and courteously.
  • Effectively participating and assisting the Store Manager in weekly management meetings and quarterly staff meetings.
  • Able to express ideas effectively and lead by example.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and meeting own commitments.

Merchandising & Visual Responsibilities

  • Responsible for direct supervision of a selected department or departments, ensuring they perform to their maximum potential.
  • Participating and overseeing the execution of all merchandising directives, updates, and markdowns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Analyzing and reacting to the needs of the business, identifying top sellers, slow sellers, and fulfillment of merchandising strategy.
  • Maintaining elevated store presentation by training and overseeing standards as defined by brand standards and company directives with an eye for detail.
  • Having thorough knowledge of sales floor and stockroom organization/systems.
  • Keeping management informed of all merchandise and visual-related issues.
  • Maintaining store organization, fixtures/hardware/general cleanliness.
