Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at CDM Smith. As a key member of our infrastructure design team, you will be responsible for creating complex engineering designs for site layout development, site grading and drainage, hydraulics and hydrology calculations, water distribution systems, collection systems, storage tanks and impoundments, foundation designs, stormwater infrastructure and treatment, and occasionally single-story structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review engineering designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Ensure that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs
  • Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications
  • Update design requirements as necessary
  • Contribute to the firm's technical knowledge management by developing white papers and technical design documentation
  • Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 0 years of experience
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required
