The Floor Maintenance Technician role involves the upkeep and cleanliness of carpets and hard surface flooring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of carpet and hard surface flooring, which includes tasks such as stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning.
  • Adhere to safety protocols in all work areas.
  • Assist the Building/Account Lead with special projects, including setups, breakdowns, and transitions.
  • Exhibit flexibility and readiness to undertake all assigned tasks.
Core Duties:
  • Maintain building floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Follow established procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as required.
  • Clean and vacuum carpeted areas, including applying spot cleaning treatments.
  • Operate vehicles (if necessary) to perform or travel to cleaning assignments, including vans and industrial vacuum cleaners.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must fulfill all requirements to gain approval for working in specific environments, including a ten-year work history if available.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in customer service.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
