Part-Time Cafeteria Supervisor

Approximately 12 hours per week

Core Responsibilities:

• Enforce school policies and procedures effectively.
• Utilize appropriate disciplinary measures in line with the school's discipline plan.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations on school premises.
• Possess knowledge of emergency protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
• Communicate openly with all staff members.
• Implement and uphold playground rules and regulations.
• Supervise students during designated playground, hallway, and lunchroom periods.
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to the Administrator promptly.
• Keep school grounds free from litter.
• Ensure lunchroom floors are clean and well-maintained.
• Oversee the safety of outdoor structures.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Administrator.

Job Objective: To create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere for students during lunch and recess. The Cafeteria Supervisor actively monitors the cafeteria and playground, encouraging positive behavior and resolving conflicts as needed. Their presence offers supervision and support, fostering a sense of security and well-being among students. Additionally, they facilitate engagement in recreational activities and promote the development of social skills and friendships. By being approachable and attentive, the lunch/recess aide contributes to a positive school experience where students can thrive academically and socially.

Essential Skills and Qualifications: While we welcome a diverse range of backgrounds, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school personnel and students in a multicultural environment.
• Demonstrated competence in fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
• Strong record of punctuality.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
