Nurse Manager Position Overview

Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Manager to lead our Short Stay Surgical unit. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and administrative skills.

About the Role

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for performing coordination, planning, and administrative management duties in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division. They will mentor professional caregivers in delivering patient care and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.

The successful candidate will provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on their assigned primary shift of work. They will ensure that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in various settings.
